Hunter Hearst Helmsley, AKA Triple H, is one of the best-known faces in pro wrestling.

His fame in the WWE Attitude era, as well as his leadership of NXT, also makes him one of the most iconic men in wrestling.

But, it wasn’t always that way.

Back in his WCW days, Hunter Hearst Helmsley used the stage name of Jean-Paul Lévesque. He was a Frenchman who spoke with an incredibly dodgy French accent, and had long golden, curly locks.

It was a bit… odd, if we’re completely honest.

Well, you can never unsee that, so you’re just going to have to live with it now.

Jean-Paul Levesque then became Triple H and was one of the WWE’s best-loved stars at the turn of the millennium.

Though his famous finisher, the Pedigree, actually came from his initial character as the Connecticut Blueblood, who was a well-to-do rich man with a certain… pedigree.

Nowadays, the hair’s (almost) all gone, and he looks more terrifying than ever.
