It was like a chess match… a very, very dull chess match.
It was built up so much that you got the distinct feeling that it would never quite live up to the billing. And you would have been correct, because it wasn’t very exciting.
Liverpool were the more positive team and could easily have won the game 2-0 if it weren’t for the cat like reflexes of a certain David de Gea in the Man United goal.
Antonio Valencia also showed his pace when he recovered to make a goal saving tackle on Roberto Firmino.
Alas, we were not to find a goal in this contest as the 90 minutes ended without a bulging net at either end of the pitch.
It resulted in most people having similar thoughts on the game…
I admit it, Sky Sports marketing team have completely mugged me off here. 2 hours I'm never getting back #LIVMUN

It may be a law of football that the bigger the build-up, the more boring the game #LIVMUN

The amount of people seemingly being forced to watch this match against their will is staggering. #LIVMUN
