The tension was almost unbearable.
South Africa have beaten Wales by 23-19 in the World Cup quarter final.
It was a heroic effort from both sides especially the Welsh whose squad has been decimated by injury throughout the tournament.
The game was a fantastic start to what will be a special weekend of rugby, here’s how Twitter reacted after the final whistle.
Congratulations to South Africa. Unlucky Wales. Probably an injury too far but you've done your country proud and entertained a lot.
