Tyson Fury has had a cheeky dig at Conor McGregor

Carl Kinsella

In the early hours of Sunday morning, Conor McGregor put on a fighting masterclass for the world to see.

He dominated and demolished Eddie Alvarez for a round and a half before knocking him down for the fifth time, pouncing on him and causing the referee to stop the fight.

Naturally, the congratulations have poured in from across the world, coming fro punters and McGregor’s fellow pugilists alike. The controversial former boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury chipped in to congratulate Conor for making UFC history, but he also took a cheeky dig at the Irishman.

The crowd went wild when, in the second round, McGregor held his hands behind his back, proving that Alvarez still couldn’t get near him. For those who have paid attention to high-profile title fights in the fight game over the last few years, it may have seemed a familiar move…

Fury did the same thing in his bout with Wladimir Klitschko, and he had the pictures on hand to prove it. He’s let Conor know to just ask if he “needs any more tips.” We can’t see The Notorious taking him up on that offer.
