Video: Alex Ferguson gives Michael Carrick a sly nudge in the back during post-match interview at Anfield

There was a bit of devilment in the former Manchester United manager yesterday.

Ferguson had just watched United come out on top in a fixture that has traditionally proved difficult for the Red Devils and like most of the away supporters, he was a bit giddy afterwards. Passing Michael Carrick conducting a TV interview on the side of the Anfield pitch after the game, Fergie couldn’t resist a little nudge in Carrick’s back and Carrick himself couldn’t resist a wry smile.
