Cathal Pendred takes on Mexico’s Hector Urbina in The Ultimate Fighter and, if this staredown is anything to go by, this is a fight not to be missed.
Biased we may be but there’s no doubt that the Irishman got under the skin of Urbina ahead of their last 16 bout.
Pendred knows that, despite being favourite, Urbina is not a fighter to be underestimated.
“He showed great wrestling and slick submission skills,” Pendred, speaking to the Irish Mirror, said of his Mexican counterpart when he fought to win his place in the tournament.
“He finished a very tough guy in about two minutes. He was the most experienced fighter out of all of the guys in the house.
“I’m Irish and he’s Mexican – two cultures known for their fighting spirit. This one will be emotional, this one will be heated.”
