Chelsea FC have promised to take “the strongest possible action” against a number of their supporters involved in a vile act of racism on a Metro train in Paris following last night’s Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain.
Footage of a number of Chelsea fans abusing a black man and refusing to allow him board a Metro train surfaced online overnight, with Chelsea quickly condemning the incident and vowing to take action against those responsible.
The video shows some Chelsea fans pushing a black man off the train as he attempted to get on board, followed by chants of “we’re racist, we’re racist and that’s the way we like it”.
