Video: Did you see the eejit at the Spurs training ground on Deadline Day last night?

No deadline day goes by without a fan some club making an eejit of himself in front of the Sky Sports cameras and last night that honour went to an attention-hungry Spurs supporter.

In 2011, a Stoke fan rolling up a cigarette on live television was the unintended ‘star’ of the summer deadline day, while if you were following our transfer coverage last night, you may have caught a glimpse of two Norwich supporters getting a bit excited in the background while a female Sky Sports reporter did her piece to camera.

Their actions were surpassed, however, by the Spurs fan who simply had to get himself into the shot outside the Spurs training ground last night, not just once but repeatedly, as he stuck up his thumb to the camera and attempted to be all pally-pally with Sky Sports’ Paul Gilmour, who remained very professional throughout.

In fairness to the Spurs fan in question, the sight of him trying to be the centre of attention was mildly amusing, but we can’t help but think we had seen him somewhere before…
