Here’s hoping for more.
It wasn’t pretty but a win’s a win and Ireland are now in the quarter-finals after a nervy 16-9 victory over Italy.
Johnny Sexton and Tommaso Allan both registered three penalties apiece but ultimately the game was won by Keith Earls’s 19th-minute try along with Peter O’Mahony’s last-ditch tackle.
The try was Earls’ eighth Rugby World Cup try, and the Munster man now stands alone as Ireland’s record try scorer in the tournament’s history.
Take a look at some brilliant memories of Earls crossing the whitewash on the biggest international stage.
