This fan footage of the glorious equaliser against the Germans is a beautiful thing indeed…
It’s been almost three weeks since that great night in Gelsenkirchen, when John O’Shea snatched a point for Ireland with a last-gasp equaliser away to the world champions Germany.
What we didn’t see on the night was the reaction of the Irish bench, but this fan footage of the goal shows that they acted just like us. They went berserk with joy, including our commanders-in-chief, O’Neill and Keane.
We’ll never get tired of seeing that goal, but we are loving this reaction from the Irish bench too. Spine-tingling stuff lads:
It’ll go down in folklore as one of our great goals and this reaction from the bench shows a great unity in the squad which is encouraging for the battles that lie ahead.
