This Alabama fan doesn’t take too kindly to defeat…
For a while now Alabama have been the big dogs of the American college football scene. Winners of three of the last four National Titles, the ‘Crimson Tide’ have gotten very used to winning every game they played.
This year was also going very well for Nick Saban’s side before THAT incredible defeat to Auburn saw them denied the chance to retain their title. Instead, they were spun off into the lesser Sugar Bowl game, where they played Oklahoma on Thursday night.
Going in as 17-point favourites, it was expected that Alabama would at least end the year on a high. It wasn’t to be though as Oklahoma played a stormer, ‘Bama made a few mistakes and the favourites lost 45-31.
One female Alabama fan really wasn’t happy with the way things went and decided to take her aggression out on some nearby Oklahoma fans. And she managed to do some serious damage too before other supporters, and security dragged her away.
The victims have told US media that her son had challenged them to a fight before she got involved while the woman, named as Michelle Pritchett, claims that she only stepped in when the Oklahoma fans taunted her son.
Whatever the truth of the clash, it was an extraordinary incident.
