As a member of the All-Ireland winning Galway Under 21 side, Cathal Mulryan had a pretty good year on the domestic front.
Then, like many footballers before him, he headed to Boston for the summer, where he continued playing ball, joining up with Connemara Gaels.
And now, thanks to Ciaran O’Donnell, a goal scored by Mulryan has come to our attention that you need to see.
Playing against Galway, Mulryan picks up the ball in midfield, charges at the retreating defence and unleashes a bullet to the top corner from fully 20 yards out.
The game was played in the heady days of June but Connemara Gaels have just stuck it on their YouTube channel so the world can enjoy it all over again.
