Gary Lineker has developed a reputation as one of the most polished and accomplished presenters of sport on television but even the best of them come unstuck every now and again. On BT Sport’s coverage of CSKA Moscow v Manchester United last night, Gary was looking for a line to get viewers excited about the second half to come after the ad break, but got a bit stuck for words when contemplating what changes Louis van Gaal might make. https://twitter.com/FitzSeanT/status/656918856410267649/video/1 In fairness to Gary, it was that boring a game that it was pretty hard to feign excitement about what was to come; besides, it’s hardly the worst mistake that a football commentator made this week.
