You might think that it’s all work and no play on the training pitch for professional rugby players, but in reality, it’s stuff like this that they get up to all along.
That might not be entirely true of the Ulster rugby squad, but they did take some time out recently to take part in the BT Crossbar Challenge at Ravenhill, which will also be open to fans this season thanks to BT, the Official Communications Partner of Ulster Rugby, with the more talented participants potentially making up to £3,000.
Some of the attempts by the Ulster players were pretty pitiful to say the least and Robbie Diack’s attempt was unfairly but brilliantly sabotaged but there were a few half-decent attempts in there too, not least those of Paul Marshall, who came out on top in the end.
If fair was fair, Paul’s success would earn him a reprieve from some of the tougher exercises in training, but somehow we doubt he got so lucky.
