Ireland number eight Jamie Heaslip insists revenge will be far from the minds of the Irish players when they take on Wales at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday.

Given how Ireland exited the World Cup with such a damp squib of a performance against their opponents on Sunday, it would be easy for Ireland to go hell-bent on a revenge mission against their Celtic cousins, but Heaslip insists they won’t fall into that trap.

Wales’ powerhouse centre Jamie Roberts, meanwhile, a man whose neck is as thick as most men’s thighs, has fonder memories of the World Cup quarter-final meeting between the sides. Roberts feels that he and his teammates are under pressure to replicate what he calls the “most complete performance” a Wales team has put together in recent years.

Check out the video above to hear the thoughts of Heaslip and Roberts ahead of what should be a cracker on Sunday and if you haven’t yet seen it, click here to see the Irish team named by Declan Kidney for the game. Note: You won’t be very surprised.
