Video: Stop what you’re doing and watch Ciarán Kilduff’s stunning volley for Dundalk

Matty Burrows, eat your heart out

You really don’t see enough backheel volleys in football.

The FAI Cup gave us one of the performances of the season on Friday night as Dundalk beat Sligo Rovers 4-0 at Oriel Park in the lashing rain.

The second goal of the game, from Ciarán Kilduff, was a thing of beauty as he nipped in ahead of Alan Keane to volley the ball over Richard Brush from Darren Meenan’s free-kick.

Ridiculous stuff, and reminiscent of Matty Burrows’ famous strike for Glentoran against Portadown back in 2010.
