Vine: Rugby League player shows outrageous athleticism to score a try in the corner

Wow

Conor Heneghan

Wow.

Renowned finishers in both codes of rugby have an ability to score tries that seem impossible to the untrained eye; just think of some of Shane Horgan’s brilliant efforts in a green jersey over the years, for example.

The finishing touch applied by Kevin Penny of the Warrington Wolves in their victory over Leigh Centurions today belongs up there with the very best of them.

Opposition players were queuing up to get him out over the sideline as he approached the corner at a rapid speed.

Penny, however, had other ideas and somehow managed to leap in the air and contort his body so that he could touch the ball down when it seemed impossible to do so.

Ridiculous.
