A typical response from the Dubliner…

The dust is starting to settle somewhat on the surprising result of yesterday’s US Presidential Election which saw Republican candidate Donald Trump emerging victorious.

Trump won a number of key swing states including Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio to secure victory in the election.

Currently over in New York ahead of his lightweight showdown with Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 at the weekend, McGregor couldn’t avoid questions about Donald Trump.

Speaking with BT Sport yesterday, he was asked for his thoughts on the then candidate, now Presidential-elect, and he didn’t hold back any punches in his assessment of Trump.

“I just could not give a bollocks, with all due respect, the whole thing is weird to me,” McGregor said. “The public are just brainwashed into thinking something is going to happen with this one.

“I don’t think either of those two contenders, or whatever they are, have power in anything, anyway.”
