WATCH: Eddie Alvarez demanded an apology from Conor McGregor, he got a short response

Well, what did he expect?

OK, so we can all agree that the press conference was a little wild, things took a turn for the bizarre and downright dangerous at times.

But, people were absolutely loving the drama and we guess it did make for some good viewing ahead of the fights this weekend.

Eddie Alvarez has obviously been affected by the shenanigans of McGregor in the build-up to the fight, the stress of the situation seemed to get to him as he initially stormed off stage before returning later in the conference.

It appears that one moment in particular from a recent media call has been playing on Alvarez’s mind, and he brought it up tonight, having previously mentioned it on UFC Embedded.

During a media call last week, McGregor said: “I feel [people are] going to see something they haven’t seen before. I’m going to toy with this man. I’m going to really, truly rearrange his facial structure.

“His wife and kids will never recognise him again. His friends and the people that he knows will know that he’s not the same man after this contest. So he’s going to be in a shock when he sees that. That’s it.”

Alvarez called on McGregor to apologise for bringing his wife and kids into the war of words, but McGregor wasn’t having any of it.
