WATCH: Joe Brolly and Pat Spillane fall in love on-air with Diarmuid Connolly’s muscles

The Sunday Game quickly descended into a love-in for Diarmuid Connolly’s muscles after the Dublin forward appeared on-screen wearing a vest.

While watching the Dubs warm up, RTÉ’s punditry team noticed Diarmuid Connolly’s arms on show and pretty much melted live on-air. Connolly may have been left out of the starting team to face Mayo in Croke Park today, but the lads still had plenty to say about him as an athlete.

Responding to the accusation that his training vest is just a fashion statement, Brolly argued “If I had a body like that I’d be wearing a vest as well, to be honest.”

Pat Spillane chipped in to say “Isn’t that what the physique of an inter-county footballer is now? I mean they’re professional in everything but being paid Biceps, triceps, whoo!”

Brolly finished by saying, somewhat breathlessly, “I mean he looks fantastic.”
