It’s not often athletes with the skill and charisma of Paul and Gary O’Donovan come along and it’s a real treat when they finally do.
Their interviews from the Olympics are the stuff of legend at this stage as they won the hearts of much of the Irish public with their comments, as well as winning silver in the Olympics.
The pair recently did an interview with the Southern Star Sports Editor Kieran McCarthy at their homecoming in Church Cross on Tuesday night.
They told some funny stories including one about the weigh in on the morning of the final where they describe themselves as off putting to the other competitors because they’re just up for the craic.
Around the six minute mark is definitely worth a listen…
