WATCH: Thierry Henry has a breakdown over the word “percentages” on Sky Sports

Carl Kinsella

Since joining the Sky Sports punditry team, Thierry Henry has been at the centre of some of their finest broadcasting moments.

The former France and Arsenal forward stole the show when he touched Jamie Carragher’s leg after Brendan Rodgers was sacked by Liverpool, for example.

This afternoon, Henry outdid himself while analysing Man United versus Everton, getting utterly stuck on the word “percentages.”

By our count, it takes him seven attempts to get it right — though it might be slightly more. Eventually he gets through it with a bit of help from his mate Graeme Souness.

Given the day that’s in it, we can forgive Henry for tripping over his words a bit. And after all, it’s not as if any of us are out there analysing football in French.
