Has Donncha O’Callaghan shrank or is he up to his old tricks in the official Irish team photo?
In today’s Irish Independent, the official team photo of the Irish Six Nations squad is printed in glorious technicolour along with all the fixtures and we are sure it will be hanging on many bedroom walls by the end of today.
But we are wondering about Munster’s Donncha O’Callaghan. The second row is right in the middle of the shot and he has either had a very tough winter or there is something up.
Listed as 6’6” on the IRFU website, he looks a lot smaller than that and his team-mate Donnacha Ryan, who is on his left, is also listed at 6’6” yet O’Callaghan looks at least six inches shorter in the picture. On the other side, Dan Tuohy, officially 6’5″, also towers over O’Callaghan.
Was O’Callaghan photoshopped into the picture later? Or, as we suspect looking at the smirk on his face, is he is bending down a little to mess with the photographer?
