Thomas Muller is something of an enigma. Not blessed with the outrageous skill of some of his more talented team-mates – we’re looking at Messrs Ozil, Gotze and Kroos here – he’s still a prolific marksman who loves the World Cup Finals.

Having finished the 201o tournament as top scorer and already grabbed the first hat-trick of these finals against Paulo Bento’s side, we reckon it won’t take long for the Bayern Munich frontman to add to his 20 international goals against a side that lost its opening game to the USA last Monday.

His finishing might need to be a little better than this though.

Muller is available at odds of 11/4 with Ladbrokes to open the scoring and grab his ninth World Cup goal in the process, as he closes in on Ronaldo’s record of 15 on the biggest stage of all.
