WWE fans were left outraged after the ridiculously short main event of Fastlane… except for this one guy

Even shorter than Goldberg’s last match, which was only 74 seconds.

The final WWE Pay-Per-View before Wrestlemania took place last night, and the main event featured the second ever WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and the challenger, AttitudeEra legend Goldberg.

Goldberg earned this title shot by defeating Brock Lesnar in under two minutes at Survivor Series, and a number of fans feared the same thing would happen against Owens. As the match went on – it became clear that their fears were justified.

When the bell rang to start the match, Kevin Owens’ former best friend Chris Jericho came out, and caused a distraction which led to Goldberg’s two signature moves: A spear and a jackhammer.

What happened next was a formality. Goldberg pinned Owens and the ref counted 1,2,3.

The majority of WWE fans were outraged by the match – mostly due to the fact that Goldberg has had his moment in the sun, 15 years ago, and now would have been a perfect time for him to give a younger, newer star the win of a lifetime.

But alas, it wasn’t to be, and WWE fans took to Twitter to voice their outrage:

It wasn’t all negative however. One fan had a hysteric reaction to the match. Have a look:
