Even by Zlatan Ibrahimovic's lofty standards, this was some quality boasting.

"I put Sweden on the map." Oh Zlatan. How we miss you.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first appearance on the American talk show circuit could not have been more entertaining, as he described giving the gift of himself to Los Angeles and how he's not like many other Swedish men.

The former Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United (whew!) striker has announced himself to the American market in a major way with this appearance, in which he once again promised that we'd see him in Russia this summer.

"A World Cup without me would not be a World Cup."

Gold.

Surprised at the level of interest in him in the States, where he's proven to be as popular as he ever was in Europe, the 36-year-old admitted: "It is my own fault, because if you play the way I do..."

Never change, Zlatan. Never change.
