Were it not for the fact that he is one of the most famous and most talented basketball players around, Steve Nash could easily have made it in the beautiful game if this is anything to go by.
The eight-time NBA All-Star is well known for his links to the football world – he’s a part owner of the Vancouver Whitecaps, his brother is a former Canadian international and he’s a self confessed Spurs fanatic – and during the Lakers’ defeat to the Boston Celtics last night, he showed that he can pull off a trick or two with two consecutive around-the-worlds after he was fouled by Avery Bradley.
Any casual footballer will tell you that the around the world is a difficult enough trick with a football never mind a basketball and who knows, had Nash not decided to shoot hoops for a living he could have become the most famous Canadian footballer since... since Paul Peschisolido, he was pretty famous, right?
