Your ginger friend will be delighted.

Julianne Moore has won an Oscar. Prince Harry has got married. The Little Mermaid is being remade. Ed Sheeran sold out 1,734 gigs in Ireland. Conan O’Brien continues to get the best guests. Sansa Stark lives.

What we’re saying is that now is a pretty good time to be a ginger and to top it all off, we’ve got some great news for anyone that has red hair.

You’re getting some fancy new ginger emojis to play with because the ginger emoji will be available as part of the new iOS 12.1 update and they’re part of a batch of 70 new emoji unveiled by Apple to celebrate World Emoji Day.

Apple have introduced a total of 158 new emojis and aside from these ginger barnets, there’s also a peacock, superheroes and plenty of other additions to use.

In terms of the other distinguishing emojis, there are characters with grey-hair, curly-hair, and no hair being introduced too for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch users.

“More than 70 new emoji come to iPhone and iPad with iOS 12.1, including new characters with red hair, grey hair and curly hair, a new emoji for bald people, more emotive smiley faces and additional emoji representing animals, sports and food”, Apple said.

Dear ginger people of the world, go forth and conquer!
