Apple are making a very simple change in their latest update, but it’s so damn handy

A simple, but very welcome tweak…

The new iOS 11 was announced at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference over the last couple of days.

Among the most highly anticipated changes teased in iOS 11 is the introduction of a fully revamped Control Centre on the iPhone.

Yes, the old one was getting a little bit… dated. Plus, it wasn’t customisable unless you used a jailbreak, which brings with it its own sets of problems.

But users have been craving for one tweak to the control centre for quite a long time seems to have been added in iOS 11.

The ability to turn on Low Power Mode in the control centre.

App developer Ryan Jones discovered the addition and his reaction to the news says it all for hardcore Apple fans.

Added to this the fact that the Control Centre is customisable, you can make your iPhone a lot more user friendly.

It’s very easy to add shortcut tiles into your iPhone’s Control Center in iOS 11.

Go to the Settings page and choose Control Center. From there, it’s easy to choose which tiles you’d like to add in, then just exit once you’re done.

For several years, Android users have had the ability to do this, and the move by Apple mirrors this ability.

For all those wondering, iOS 11 is set for release in Autumn and we can expect many more announcements and rumours about what it will contain over the coming months.
