Cryptocurrency Bitcoin has hit an all-time high value this week, after steadily increasing throughout 2017.

The digital payment system has been around since 2009, and after minor peaks and troughs throughout its history, has soared to new heights throughout the last year. As of Sunday morning, just one bitcoin is worth roughly €7621, or $8,470.73. It's value continues to fluctuate, but according to CoinDesk, since the markets opened today, its value has increased again by roughly $200. CoinTelegraph has attributed the new success of the cryptocurrency to increased demand from Asian retailers. the currency can expect further fluctuation in the coming week after it's exposed a whole new market... Reports suggest that the next episode of Season 11 of The Big Bang Theory will focus on Bitcoin.
