Good news, gamers! The latest edition to the Battlefield franchise, Battlefield Hardline, is set to be released early next year on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Did you love playing cops and robbers back in school? Have your buzz-kill colleagues denied repeated requests of a quick game for ‘old time’s sake’? If so, then you may be glad to hear that Battlefield’s latest outing features a cops & crooks storyline that has been set for release on March 20, 2015.

In Battlefield Hardline’s crime filled single player story, Miami is embroiled in a drug war and your character, Officer Nick Mendoza (thankfully, that’s not the same Mendoza from The Simpsons), has just made Detective. Alongside his partner, veteran detective Khai Minh Dao, Nick follows the drug supply chain from the streets to the source.

In multiplayer, the world is simple. You’re on one side of the law or the side of the crooks, armed with a baton or bat, stun gun or rifle, armoured police truck or powerful muscle cars. Either way, teamwork is going to be essential if you’re going to want to pull off that perfect heist or big time bust in this new take on Battlefield multiplayer. So no Leeroy Jenkins… okay?

If you can’t wait until March for the next instalment of Battlefield then head over to the official website here and check out the 12-minute singleplayer gameplay trailer below…
