
Eir confirm that their network is down for many customers
Many Eir customers on social media have noted a drop-off in service on Wednesday.
A quick search of Twitter reveals that a multitude of customers currently cannot receive or make phone calls across the Eir network.
Others have noted that the lack of service has been going on since before today.
Eir has now acknowledged the problems with the network, and confirmed that there is an "ongoing issue" though no specifics were provided.
On Twitter, a spokesperson for the network responded to a query, saying: "Currently there is an ongoing issue with the eir network. Our tech team is working on it. Apologise for the inconvenience."
However, no time has been specified for a resumption of normal services.

@eir hi guys my phone is down and I can’t make calls I have turned off my phone a couple of times but it did not work. I have email you chat on line but no answer
