The new PS4 was finally unveiled at the E3 press conference last night along with the pricing and what to expect from the console and we have to say, the guys at Sony are looking a whole lot better off than Microsoft right now…

The new Xbox One will cost €499 and will require an online login every 24 hours in order to work. The new PS4 on the other hand, will cost just €399 on release and won’t require an online connection to work.

Here’s what Jack Tretton, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, had to say at the event: “If you enjoy playing single-player games offline, PS4 won’t require to you check in online period and it won’t stop working if you haven’t authenticated in 24 hours.”

One of the biggest criticisms to surround the Xbox One is the fact that you won’t be able to play second hand games without jumping through hoops first. Well, Sony saw their chance to capitalise and released this cheeky little video that’s obviously a swipe at Microsoft and the Xbox One…
