Apple fans may want to get their ‘waiting in line deck chairs’ out – they made need a dusting off if you waited in line for Gareth Brooks tickets – as reports from Tokyo suggest the company’s latest handheld mobile device will be launched as soon as September.

According to the Nikkei Asian Review, “Suppliers of LCD panels for Apple’s new iPhone will ramp up production soon, in line with a timetable for a worldwide launch as early as September.”

The Nikkei Asian Review goes on to say that the device will ‘likely be offered in 4.7- and 5.5-inch versions, both of which are larger than the current generation’s 4-inch screen’.

There has been no official word from Apple just yet, but it should be interesting too see how well the iPhone 6 sells seeing as the iPhone 5 sold over five million units in its first three days on the market.
