Mark Zuckerberg was hacked and his password was embarrassingly simple

JOE

We can all learn from this.

Earlier this week, CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg’s Pinterest and Twitter accounts were hacked.

The hackers didn’t do much damage to his accounts though, all they did was post on the sites to say that they had managed to access them, according to Sky News.

The hack was perpetrated by a group called OurMine and it was allegedly done through information obtained from his Linkedin account. In 2012, the networking site was hacked and information from over 160 million accounts was taken.

OurMine tweeted from Zuckerberg’s account saying “Hey @finkd You were in Linkedin Database with the password dadada! DM for proof..”

The tweet has since been removed.

As one of the biggest social media entrepreneurs on the planet, we can’t quite believe that Zuckerberg would use such a basic password.

Thankfully, Pintrest and Twitter are the two social media sites that Zuckerber’s uses the least and the hackers didn’t manage to access his Facebook account.

The lesson here is definitely not to use the same simple password that you’ve been using for 10 years for everything.
