NBA player wears Google Glass to the Draft

JOE

Have you ever wondered what it must be like on draft day from the perspective of the players getting signed up? Well we might get a glimpse at it soon enough

One man who turned up to the NBA draft created a whole heap of buzz this year with something he was wearing, which is a surprise because some of these lads have serious style.

Anyway, back to the point. Victor Oladipo from Indiana University rocked up to the draft wearing Google’s latest technological breakthrough, Google Glass, and it had everyone talking.

According to the lads at Mashable, this was quite the publicity stunt, and he ended up being the second most tweeted about player last night, despite being drafted 5th to the Orlando Magic.

He had to take the glasses off during the ceremony, but it had the desired impact, with pretty much everyone who was paying attention to the draft talking about him and his fancy glasses. Hopefully, some footage will be online from Oladipo’s perspective at some stage. Unless of course, the glasses don’t work properly yet, and Google just did this whole thing for publicity. But why would they lie, what do they have to gain?
