The new iPhone X is killing a feature that the majority of people say they use

Wave goodbye...

Will you miss it?

The iPhone X is set to arrive later this year along with host of changes from previous iPhones.

One of the well-publicised changes to the phone is the removal of the home button in favour of full screen display, and this will mean that several features look set to be eliminated.

Firstly, with the absence of the home button there will be no fingerprint scanner, so the days of unlocking with one touch of your finger or thumb are behind you… for now at least.

But it also means that there’ll be no more ‘reachability’ according to Tech Insider.

The feature was first introduced on the iPhone 6 and 6 plus, which were significantly larger than the iPhone 5 ranges which came before it.

The larger screen can be awkward to use at times with one hand so to solve this, you could tap the home twice and it would pull the screen downwards and make easier to manipulate with your thumb.

According to comScore’s 2017 US Mobile App Report, 76% of millennial iPhone users are using the feature regularly and on average, 55% of all iPhone users are using the feature.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are available to pre-order directly from the Apple website from September 15, with prices starting from €829 for a 64GB iPhone 8, rising to €1,109 for a 256GB iPhone 8 Plus.
