New study reveals how many Irish people find a match on Tinder

It’s like shooting fish in a barrel! An ocean-sized barrel, that is.

According to new statistics collected by Ipsos MRBI, more than 150,000 Irish people use Tinder, but only 1 per cent end up finding a match.

Do you have a strain in your wrist from swiping right on Tinder as you try to find Mr or Mrs Right (that better be the reason for your strained wrist)?

Well, according to these latest stats about Tinder use in Ireland, it’s harder to find a match than you might think…

The Irish Independent reports that the chances of finding someone to ‘be friends’ with *wink wink* are just one in 100, and that you are just as likely to hook up with someone in a pub or club. You know, the good ol’ fashioned way.

In terms of users’ gender, the app is split fairly equally between men and women here in Ireland. Ipsos MRBI also revealed that Tinder users are more likely to be under the age of 25 rather than over.

So there you have it. If you haven’t been having much luck on Tinder as of late then you can rest assured you’re not the only one.

*JOE swipes right… again*
