A life-saver

A life-saver.

We thought we had run out of things that an iPhone can do for its users but now it turns out that it might well save your life as well.

Many people may have already been aware of this facility, but a Facebook post by an emergency room nurse working in the US that has been shared nearly 750,000 times (at the time of writing) would suggest that many iPhone users are being made aware of it for the first time.

FUN FACT! Working in the ER we’ve had many patients come in and have had no way of knowing who they were or how to…

The Facebook post by Katherine Jarmy earlier this week alerted iPhone users to the fact that all of their important medical information (Emergency contacts, date of birth, medical conditions, blood type etc.) can be accessed even while the phone is locked under emergency options.

To set it up, all you have to do is click the Health app on the iPhone menu screen, access the ‘Medical ID’ option at the bottom corner of the screen, input all the necessary information and you’re all set.

It only takes a minute or two and it could be a massive help in an emergency; who knows, it could even save your life.

God bless you iPhone.
