Pic: This feckin’ great app analyses how sweary you are and the exact swear words you use on Twitter

And before you ask, no, feckin’ doesn’t count as a swear word.

And before you ask, no, feckin’ doesn’t count as a swear word.

We don’t want to generalise here, but the fact that a significant amount of people use Twitter as a forum to have an auld rant now and again means that quite a lot of people will say words on Twitter that they wouldn’t say in front of their mother.

Are you one of them? Well, you might not think so but you can find out for certain now thanks to Social Santa, who, for the second year in a row, are analysing the tweets of Twitter users and are able to calculate a score “based on the frequency of your obscene language outbursts”.

According to the site’s blurb, Social Santa will browse through the last thousand or so tweets you have posted to check how many times, if any, you have used words that would be classified as ‘naughty’.

We imagine that once you’ve received your score you can make a vow to become less or maybe even more sweary on Twitter in future.

Having checked out how we fared ourselves, however, it’s good to know that our squeaky clean reputation in the Internet community remains safe. Can we get a f**k, yeah?

Unfortunately, however, from an individual perspective, not all of us emerged with our reputations intact…
