It is to celebrate a huge milestone for the game on the console.

Only two months since it was launched, at PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is already making history.

The award-winning game, which was created by a Kildare man, debuted on PC and Xbox One on 20 December 2017, and has quickly become the game that everyone is playing and talking about.

Just two weeks ago, the game passed three million players on the XBox One, at which point folks were expecting the numbers to begin to plateau out and/or take a dip, but this has proven not to be the case.

This weekend, it was announced that the game has now passed four million players on the XBox One, and Microsoft are celebrating the milestone.

Any and all players who own the game and have registered to play it by 31 January will be gifted with 30,000 Battle Points to spend on cosmetic crates. NICE.

If you’ve never heard of the game, we could explain to you what it is all about and why people love it, but we couldn’t do it just in the same way the Honest Trailers crew do, so we’ll just leave it to them:
