Get ready to go all retro on your fancy new PS4

Get ready to go all retro on your fancy new PS4

If you’ve found yourself hankering for a game of Abe’s Oddysee or Colin McRae Rally but all you have is your fancy new PS4 with all it’s highfalutin graphics and such, then fear not, as it seems that retro emulation might be headed to Sony’s latest gaming console.

Sony announced at CES that PlayStation Now would be their new streaming service that would offer full games on demand ion a Netflix-style service. However, they announced that it would only be PlayStation 3 games for the moment, but according to Digital Spy, Sony will make older games available via emulation, and may even feature the ability to upscale them to HD.

However, there may be a long wait ahead as it seems that only the first beta testing has been taking place so far in North America with some users, and that 2015 is probably the earliest we can expect to see PlayStation Now in Europe.
