Greater levels of privacy lead to greater levels of jealously…
At least that’s what a new German-British study, titled ‘Cyberpsychology, Behaviour, and Social Networking,’ concluded recently.
The Study, which was published in a peer-reviewed journal and not just the back of a cereal box, said that the greater levels of privacy on Snapchat may lead some users to post more intimate types of content…
According to the study: “Findings show that the main difference in motives [was] that Snapchat was used more for flirting and finding new love interests, whereas Facebook was still the main social networking site used for keeping in touch with friends.
“Further, when presenting users with a series of potentially jealousy provoking scenarios, Snapchat elicited higher levels of jealousy than did Facebook.”
So if you’ve been getting the cold shoulder from your partner as of late, you should probably ease up on your Snapchat use.
Alternatively, you could always download Tinder. At least then you’re partner won’t be worried about what you do on Snapchat…
