Snapchat announces five new unique Irish Shows for its Discover feature

Unique Irish content is coming to Snapchat.

On Wednesday, Snapchat announced the arrival of unique Irish content on Snapchat Discover, offering users "more choice, more perspectives and a more localised experience". New partners include JOE, the Irish Independent, Off The Ball, comedy troupe Foil Arms & Hog, MetDaan and eir Sport. Each show averages five minutes in length, has a clear narrative, and is hyper-visual with motion graphics, split screens and quick cuts, inspired by the way Snapchatters talk to their closest friends. We don't want to give too much away about our own show just yet, but we think you're going to like it a lot. “More than two in five smartphone users in Ireland use Snapchat on a monthly basis, so we are thrilled to bring a more personalised content experience to them,” said Rami Saad, Head of International Content Partnerships at Snap. “Our partners are a diverse mix of credible, local voices and make a brilliant addition to the platform. We are also excited to help our partners build their brand with this unique, engaged audience".
