Snapchat has just made its biggest change ever with this new feature

This is a game changer…

Snapchat are introducing a new feature called Memories on their app which will signal a major change in the way people will use the app.

Memories works as a way to save photos and videos within the app and upload them to your Snapchat story at a later time.

It’s basically a living camera roll where photos and videos can be taken, organised, edited and then shared at your leisure on the app.

Until now, all photos and videos had to be added to the story immediately after they were taken.

Memories is being rolled out on the app today for iOS and android and should be available as soon as you update to the latest version of the app.

In case you missed it earlier, you can find out if someone has deleted you on Snapchat here.

This introduction of Memories is a huge change for Snapchat which up until now had focused on the immediacy of the media shared on its platforms.

This new change opens the door to much more photo editing similar to other social media sites and apps such as Instagram.

Here’s a quick video on how it will work…

So why are Snapchat rolling out this change when the app already has a unique selling point over other social media apps?

Well, some think that the new addition of Memories could spell an increase in stories on the app and Snapchat are also rolling out ads in between your friends’ stories.

The more stories there are the more ads between these stories… and the world makes sense again.
