Social Networth: There is now a global online community exclusively for mega rich people

We doubt there will be too many Farmville requests on this site...

We doubt there will be too many Farmville requests on this site…

Are you sick of paupers and commoners annoying you on Facebook and Twitter? No? Neither are we, we like most of our social media friends except the ones who post about food, stop doing that, thanks.

However, someone seems to be a little peeved by less well-off people clogging up their timelines because a new social media platform aimed at rich people has been created. It’s a bit like the Craiglist for mega rich people we wrote about a while back.

The site is called Netropolitan and it describes itself as “the online country club for people with more money than time” which sounds absolutely dreadful. The site was founded by the perfectly named James Touchi-Peters who is the former Minnesota Philharmonic Orchestra conductor, very fancy.

Touchi-Peters says “I saw a need for an environment where you could talk about the finer things in life without backlash – an environment where people could share similar likes and experiences.”

Now, you’re probably wondering how much of your hard earned cash you’ll have to part with to join such esteemed company. Well, there’s an easy once off payment of €7,000 at registration followed by an annual membership fee of €2,300. *JOE picks jaw up off the floor*
