The Dark Knight will return to our screens in an animated feature length film based on the video games
The popular video game which spawned a whole new franchise,
Batman: Arkham Asylum, looks set to get its own animated feature movie. We're both nerds and complete fan girls of this game series, so this is exciting news for us.
The flick, which is going under the title
Assault on Arkham for now, according to what the folks at
Digital Spy are saying, is scheduled for release later this year. Director Jay Oliva is on board to head up the project, and has worked on other movies from the realms of comics before like
Justice League War.
It will be set in the same world as the games, although judging by the title will possibly focus on the first game which was based in the Asylum. There was a huge cast of villains in the game for Batman to face, such as the Joker, the Riddler and Scarecrow, so they have plenty of storylines to work with on that front.
