Setting passwords is all important, it needs to be something you can easily remember in case you've had a rough night out the night before, but something difficult to guess.
Some people take the first part of that advice and completely disregard the second part and that's how many of these terrible passwords were born.
We still have our original password from our first gmail account and we still use it for everything, it's [our name]123, shush, don't tell anyone...
Splashdata have compiled a list of all the stolen passwords from last year and ranked them in order of popularity.
Our particular favourite is number nine, imagine having to give that password to someone you trusted to let them log in, the shame of it...
