It’s the beginning of a new era.

Video ads will soon be a part of the Tinder format, allowing people to showcase their finest talents in short clips for potential dates.

Unlike Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat, Tinder only allows people to share photos and ‘moments’ at present, but they are looking at changing that to incorporate video messages and links.

At the moment they’re using videos for brand advertisement on the site and, due to the high level of engagement from readers, the company has said that video usage is definitely “on the agenda.”

Speaking to The Drum Tinder Co-founder Sean Rad explains where the future of Tinder is heading for the “highly engaged” and “passionate” audience.

Tinder currently  has made eight billion connections across 196 countries and the average user will spend around 11 minute a day flicking through profiles of potential matches.
