It’s time to go to war as Battlefield 1 invades your living room with explosive new game

Battlefield is taking us to the trenches.

The first person shooter franchise is back with its latest installment and this time it’s taking the action right back to the First World War.

Just check out this taste of mayhem from their gameplay trailer…

The Great War has typically been passed over for video games in the past, despite having some of the largest and most deadly battles in history. The sheer scope and size of the war means we’re pretty excited and we’ve already explored some of the reasons for you to be getting enthusiastic about it too.

And it’s not trench warfare on offer in Battlefield 1…

As Carl Anka for JOE.co.uk reported, several different maps have been revealed including cavalry assaults in Arabian deserts, urban warfare in a French town, gun battles in the Italian Alps, forest areas, jungles and more.

A number of vehicles will be available to you including biplanes, battleships, and several varieties of tanks – these will be vital for turning the tide of a match in your favour.

Battlefield 1 will also offer a proper fleshed-out single-player mode, and gamers can enjoy multiplayer matches that can handle up to 64 players.

Book your week off work.
